How are we different?

At Granite VETS we recognize that bring your pet to the emergency hospital for any reason is likely at the bottom of the bottom of the list of where you want to be. We designed our hospital with you in mind.

Here are some of the ways we thought of you to help reduce the stress of an ER visit:

-A spacious, comfortable lobby area with both natural lighting and lighting tones to reduce blue light exposure. We offer complimentary coffee, seltzer and snacks. We provide some visual entertainment if needed with TV Monitors. We strive to provide clean, comfortable exam rooms with plenty of space to move around. Changing station provided in the lobby bathroom. In the colder months, warm-up next to the fireplace if needed.

-We permit drop offs for evaluation at no additional charge to the normal consultation fee. We understand when emergency come up it can be hard to stop your whole life these days. We strive to obtain a history and initial vitals on your pet as soon as able and if wait times are extensive we are always open to accommodating you by allowing your pet to be dropped off for further doctor assessment. You will always be called and the plan discussed before anything more than the exam is performed unless you’ve preapproved certain diagnostics.

-We welcome you to remain with your pet even during a crisis as you wish. It’s always important to have a conversation with the team about your pet’s specific needs. Some pets are more compliant for exams when their family isn’t visible and vice versa. We try to accommodate all patients with as little fear and restraint as able.

Our ER is equipped with the newest and most advanced technology veterinary medicine has to offer. We are capable of performing many diagnostic blood and urine tests in-house to get faster answers for you. We are able to treat every emergency from a small cut to assisted-ventilation to the most complex crises.
